ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project aims to show the natural diversity of trees and fungi. Their importance for the environment and practical application by humans. An important element of the project will be to compare the communication of plants and fungi to WiFi networks. Plants and fungi do not remain silent. The project will be embedded in the STEAM methodology
DESTINATIONS
1. students learn about the biodiversity of trees and fungi in different parts of Europe.
2. the pupils get to know the ways of communication between plants and fungi.
3. creating a virtual herbarium.
4. to organise artistic workshops and scientific classes on plants and mushrooms and their networking.
5. the pupils get to know the methods of protecting plants and fungi and their broad significance for the environment, including man.
6. practical application of IT tools and foreign language in teaching science subjects.
7. integration of curricula of different subjects.
WORKING PROCESS
The project topics were agreed with three main partners from Turkey, Portugal and Poland.
The project has a year-round character. We will keep in touch with you via TwinSpace. We will organise teleconferences and share the work between international pupil teams in September after the meeting with the pupils.
Outline of the work will be divided into months:
September - getting to know the teams, school presentation, logo and poster competition for our project
October - organization of artistic workshops and scientific classes on plants and fungi (field classes)
November - natural diversity of trees and mushrooms - e-book
December - teleconference, sending Christmas cards and project mascots
January/February - how plants and fungi communicate - wild WiFI
March/April - the importance of plants and fungi for the environment including man - working in international teams
May - teleconference, field workshops
June - project summary
RESULTS
Final products of the project:
- films presenting jointly developed materials as well as documenting current work
- creation of a poster and project logo - competition
-the small European herbarium of endemic trees and more
- e-book/e-magazine presenting the meaning and use of trees and mushrooms
- artistic works of students and project mascots
- encoding the way trees and mushrooms communicate
- debate on the importance of trees and fungi for climate protection

eTwinning is a platform that helps you hone your skills, expand your professional network, and improve the skills of your students. For this reason, eTwinning‘s spirit is based on mutual understanding and respect. Events, messages, posts and everything published on eTwinning must adhere to the following general principles:
Users who do not comply with this Code of Conduct will be warned and, in some cases, banned from the platform.
Therefore, we encourage you to report when necessary.
If you encounter posts, events or comments in Journals and Forums, receive a private message, or see content that is offensive, infringes upon copyright, or you find inappropriate, you can use the “report” button and share your reasons for reporting. Your message will be handled by the Support Services.
These are the rules all eTwinners must adhere to:1. Misuse of the internal message systemRefrain from sending too many messages to teachers with whom you are not working. Before contacting a user: check their profile; check if they are available for projects; make sure your message is relevant. Do not send the exact same message to more eTwinners.
2. Use of eTwinning for commercial purposesIt’s strictly prohibited to use the platform for commercial purposes. Any company, initiative, event or software with a commercial intent will be removed, as will their access to the platform itself.
3. Spam in forumsThe eTwinning Live partner forums generate thousands of messages. Make sure that your message considers the subject of the thread. Before publishing a new post, check to see if there are other relevant messages and reply to them. Help us keep the forums relevant to improve collaboration!
4. Irrelevant or inappropriate comments on people’s postsWhen posting a comment on somebody else’s profile, make sure it is relevant to the user. Comments must be for individuals and related to the user’s post. Do not write the same comment to more users.
5. Random contact requests and project invitationsAvoid asking eTwinners to be part of your contacts or to join your project without any previous communication. Make sure you have a reasonable and manageable number of contacts in your list. Do you want to keep track of someone’s updates? Follow them instead.
6. Events invitationAvoid inviting your contacts to events you are organising, unless you are certain that these colleagues can participate. Random invitation to events organised in your school will be considered spam.
7. Direct threats, bullying and harassmenteTwinning does not tolerate bullying or harassment. If you are victim of cyberbullying or someone is threatening you, please report the message or contact your National Support Service. Be aware that anyone caught bullying or harassing other members of the platform may be permanently banned from eTwinning.
8. Intellectual propertyEnsure that the content you upload to the platform does not infringe any copyright. Before sharing pictures, videos, documents or any other resources, please make sure you have the right to do so. The eTwinning platform cannot host videos - you will need to upload your video to YouTube, DailyMotion or Vimeo first and then paste the link in eTwinning. Don’t forget to have a look at their copyright policies too.
9. ImpersonationYou cannot impersonate other individuals or groups/organizations which you do not represent in a manner that is intended to or does mislead, confuse, or deceive others.
10. Students (minors)eTwinning takes students’ privacy and safety seriously. Avoid posting pictures of pupils on your eTwinning Live profile, TwinSpace, Groups, etc. In case you do, make sure you have parents’ consent or that pupils are not recognisable.
11. Private information and Sensitive dataBe thoughtful about content you post that relates to others. You should not share your or other eTwinners' private information - such as personal phone numbers and addresses, credit card details or other private information - or intimate pictures and videos. Always think before you post!
